Abstract

L'invention concerne le complexe antibiotique de désoxynarasine, comprenant la 20-désoxynarasine et la 20-désoxy-épi-17-narasine. On obtient le complexe antibiotique par fermentation aérobie en immersion de Streptomyces aureofaciens NRRL 11181 ou d'un Streptomyces aureofaciens ayant les mêmes possibilités biosynthétiques que NRRL 11181. On sépare et on isole la 20-désoxynarasine et la 20-désoxy-épi-17-narasine par chromatographie. Le complexe et ses constituants séparés ont différentes utilités thérapeutiques et sont particulièrement utiles comme agents antibactériens et anticoccidiens et comme agents améliorant l'efficacité de l'utilisation des aliments chez les ruminants.
