Sur l'arbre moteur 5, on fixe un carter 1 dans lequel vient tourillonner, au moyen de roulements à billes à gorges 10, l'arbre qui porte la meule-assiette, 14. Les trois axes, celui de l'arbre moteur 5, du carter 1 et de l'arbre porte-meule-assiette 14, sont légèrement désaxés, soit en ligne, l'axe 2 du carter 1 étant entre les deux autres, soit en triangle. Un contrepoids éventuellement réglable 12 réduit la tendance aux vibrations. L'arbre porte-meule n'est pas entraîné positivement mais par l'effet des forces de frottement
