Abstract

L'invention concerne les aciers ayant une excellente résistance à la fissuration provoquée par l'hydrogène lorsqu'ils sont utilisés dans un milieu contenant H2 S et qui contiennent 0,05 à 0,20 % de C, 0,01 à 0,50 % de Si, 0,60 à 2 % de Mn et 0,01 à 0,10 % de Al. Selon l'invention, ces aciers contiennent moins de 0,0020 % de S, et de 0,0020 à moins de 0,0050 % de Ca. Pour l'augmentation de la résistance à la traction, ils peuvent en outre contenir au moins l'un des éléments d'alliage suivants : Cu, Ni, Cr, B, Mo, Nb, V, Zr et TL L'effet de l'addition du calcium peut en outre être stabilisé par l'addition d'éléments des terres rares. L'invention est notamment applicable aux aciers utilisés pour la fabrication de pipelines.
