Abstract

Procédé de préparation d'un éther polyglycidique d'un phénol polyhydrique. Il comprend les étapes selon lesquelles on fait réagir A1 le phénol polyhydrique avec 2,5 à 10 moles d'une épihalohydrine par équivalent hydroxy en présence d'un catalyseur de condensation, d'eau et d'un solvant organique volatil contenant de l'oxygène, et on effectue C1 une déshalogénhydratation avec un hydroxyde de métal alcalin aqueux, avec séparation d'une phase aqueuse 9 et d'une phase organique 8 en un seul ou plusieurs stades et recueil de l'éther polyglycidique à partir de la dernière phase organique, au moins une partie d'au moins une phase aqueuse séparée étant recyclée à un stade antérieur du procédé. Le nouveau procédé permet une opération facile, une haute récupération du solvant et de l'épihalohydrine, la production d'éthers polyglycidiques de qualite supérieure et d'un effluent d'une faible alcalinité et d'une basse teneur en impuretés organiques.
