Abstract

Procédé pour préparer des stratifiés auto-extinguibles par imprégnation de couches individuelles d'une matière de support à l'aide d'une résine phénolique thermodurcissable contenant des agents ignifugeants et, le cas échéant, des diluants puis superposition et liaison des couches individuelles à la presse à chaud. Dans la résine phénolique thermodurcissable éventuellement diluée, plastifiée ou non, on disperse du pentanitrure de phosphore en poudre fine qui sert d'agent ignifugeant, en proportions correspondant à un rapport d'environ 100 : 4 à 100 : 15 entre les matières solides de la résine phénolique et le pentanitrure de phosphore et avec un rapport d'environ 100 : 80 à 100 : 150 entre les matières solides de la résine phénolique et la matière de support. Les stratifiés selon l'invention possèdent de bonnes propriétés de résistance aux flammes et ont l'avantage de ne pas libérer d'halogénures d'hydrogène à la combustion.
