Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un fondant pour la coulée en continu d'acier. Ce fondant contient un mélange de matières premières comprenant, en poids, de 30 à 65 % de verre, jusqu'à 60 % de clinker de ciment jusqu'à 60 % de castine, jusqu'à 10 % de spathfluor, jusqu'à 25 % de carbonate de sodium et de 1 à 5 % de carbone, l'analyse chimique étant telle que CaO/SiO2 = 0,6 à 1,4; le maximum de S = 0,2 %; le maximum de Fe2 O3 = 0,5 %; le maximum de CO2 = 30 %; le maximum de H2 O = 0,7 %; le maximum de B 2 O3 = 5,0 % et le maximum de Al2 O3 = 8 %, la viscosité du laitier obtenu étant de 0,5 à 10 poises à 1 300 degrés C et inférieure à 50 poises à 1 200 degrés C.
