Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication d'un catalyseur composite comprenant des métaux du groupe VIII et du groupe VIB en combinaison avec un support réfractaire d'un oxyde minéral et de phosphate de bore. On précipite un hydrogel d'oxyde minéral d'un hydrosol d'alumine, de silice, et/ou de bioxydes de zirconium, de thorium et de bore; on mélange l'hydrogel avec une forme séchée et finement divisée de celui-ci pour constituer 5 à 50 % du catalyseur final, on imprègne le mélange avec une solution aqueuse d'acides borique et phosphorique en une quantité suffisante pour que le catalyseur renferme 13 à 35 % de phosphate de bore; on sèche et on imprègne avec des composés décomposables des métaux des groupes VIII et VIB en une quantité suffisante pour incorporer respectivement 0,1 à 10 % et 5 à 20 % des metaux en question, on sèche et on calcine en atmosphère oxydante. Utilisation de ce catalyseur pour le traitement des asphaltènes insolubles dans l'heptane.
