Abstract
L'invention concerne la fabrication de câbles de télécommunications. Pour fabriquer un élément unitaire comprenant une fibre optique (au un ensemble de plusieurs fibres optiques) chaque fibre étant nue ou revêtue d'une couche protectrice et la fibre ou l'ensemble de fibres étant enfermé dans une gaine tubulaire dont la surface intérieure n'adhère pas à la surface extérieure de la fibre ou du faisceau de fibres, on achemine la fibre ou le faisceau de fibres 11 et un tube 14 de diamètre intérieur supérieur au diamètre de la fibre ou du faisceau de fibres 11, et qui a été préalablement extrudé et stabilisé, par exemple par étirage, à un dispositif comprenant un couteau 20 et un guide tubulaire 24 enfilé dans l'ouverture 21 formée par écartement des lèvres 22 et 23 de la coupure formée par le couteau, ce guide introduisant la fibre 11 dans le tube. L'invention s'applique notamment aux fibres optiques pour câbles de télécommunications.
