Abstract
L'invention concerne les guides d'ondes optiques à fibre. Elle se rapporte à un guide d'onde qui transmet les radiations infrarouges jusqu'à 35 microns. Le guide d'onde comporte une âme 11 placée dans un revêtement 12 d'un polymère disposé avec du jeu autour de l'âme. Celle-ci est formée d'un halogénure tel que l'iodure ou le bromoiodure de thallium, extrudé à température élevée. Application aux communications par fibres optiques.
