Abstract

Ferro-alliage d'affinage des métaux à ajouter à des aciers fondus, en particulier à de l'acier calmé afin de le désoxyder et d'en ajuster la composition. Le procédé consiste à ajouter à un acier un ferro-alliage contenant de 27 à 32 % de silicium, de 48 à 55 % de manganèse, de 8 à 10 % d'aluminium, le reste étant constitué par du fer et par des quantités inévitables d'impuretés, dans un acier contenant de 0,07 à 0,17 % de carbone, de 0,12 à 0,22 % de manganèse, le reste étant constitué de fer, à raison de 7 à 12 kg dudit ferro-alliage par tonne de l'acier de façon à désoxyder l'acier et à régler sa composition. Application en métallurgie.
