Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'un goudron contenant du benzoate de benzyle. On traite le goudron en le soumettant à une réaction d'hydrolyse ou d'ammonolyse et on obtient de l'alcool benzylique du mélange de produits de la réaction. On effectue l'hydrolyse avec de l'hydroxyde de sodium ou du carbonate de sodium. Avec le procédé selon l'invention on parvient à convertir en produit utile un produit résiduaire jusqu'alors inutilisable. L'invention se rapporte au traitement d'un goudron formé par l'oxydation de composés monoalcoyles de benzène à l'aide d'un gaz contenant de l'oxygène moléculaire.
