Abstract

Procédé perfectionné pour la production de dioxyde de chlore et de chlore Selon ce procédé on fait circuler et réagir un chlorate de métal alcalin et un acide fort choisi parmi l'acide sulfurique, l'acide chlorhydrique, l'acide phosphorique et leurs mélanges dans un appareil unique à circulation forcée pour réaction, évaporation et cristallisation comprenant, dans une disposition verticale : a. une chambre supérieure d'évaporation et de cristallisation comportant une cloison cylindrique sensiblement verticale qui divise au moins la portion inférieure de la chambre de réaction et d'évaporation en une première partie et une deuxième partie cylindriques sensiblement coaxiales; b. une chambre d'échange de chaleur et c. une chambre inférieure de pompage, dans laquelle un moyen de pompage est disposé pour assurer une circulation forcée de fluides dans l'appareil. Une bouillie aqueuse de sel de métal alcalin de l'acide fort est évacuée de la partie inférieure de la chambre de pompage et du dioxyde de chlore, du chlore, du chlore et de vapeur d'eau sont évacués de la chambre d'évaporation.
