Abstract

Substance à effet de seuil contenant de l'acide cyclohexane tétracarboxylique- 1,2,3,4, empêchant les dépôts incrustants dans les milieux aqueux. On la prépare en faisant réagir, sans isolement de produits intermédiaires, 2 moles d'un mélange d'anhydride acétique et de chlorure d'acétyle et 0,6 à 1 mole de crotonaldéhyde en présence d'hydroquinone et d'acide p-toluène sulfonique, en ajoutant 0,6 à 1 mole d'acide acrylique, en chauffant sous reflux à plus de 100 degrés C, puis en ajoutant 0,6 à 1 mole d'anhydride maléique, en chauffant encore à plus de 100 degrés C, puis en oxydant par l'acide nitrique en présence d'un catalyseur. Utilisation pour le traitement d'eaux de chaudières ou de refroidissement.
