Abstract

The swimming pool is constructed from prefabricated, reinforced concrete wall elements (11) which are located, at the top and bottom, into a metal framework. The bottom framework consists of a channel section (12) which is anchored to a concrete footing (32). The top framework consists of two inverted channel sections (13,14), one of which contains wooden blocks (16) which are anchored down, while both support the pool edging (22) and lining (19). The lining is a glass fibre reinforced cloth which is nailed to blocks of wood sandwiched between the top framework sections. The elements are joined together by a threaded pin mounted through sockets and secured by nuts.
