Abstract
L'invention décrit un procédé perfectionné pour disperser de l'antioxygène dans un polymère réticulable. On dissout l'antioxygène (à point élevé de fusion) dans un véhicule, de préférence l'agent de réticulation, pour obtenir une solution à bas point de fusion que l'on disperse dans les pastilles du polymère lors du mélange des ingrédients dans un mélangeur. On diminue ainsi la teneur en fines, on améliore la dispersion de l'antioxygène et l'on raccourcit le cycle de mélange L'invention s'applique notamment à la production de polyéthylène pour isolant de câbles électriques, avec du 4,4'-thiobis-(6-tertio-butyl-m-crésol) comme antioxygène et du peroxyde de dicumyle comme agent de réticulation.
