Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation en continu d'un courant gazeux de phosphine par réaction de phosphore blanc élémentaire avec une solution aqueuse concentrée d'hydroxyde alcalin en présence d'un alcool, à l'abri de l'oxygène et à 44-90 degrés C. Le procédé selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce que l'on effectue la réaction en deux stades séparés en faisant réagir, en premier stade, la solution d'hydroxyde alcalin sous agitation avec le phosphore dans un rapport molaire de 0,7-0,9 : 1, on recueille la phosphine gazeuse pure et on introduit simultanément, dans le second stade, la phase aqueuse contenant du phosphore résiduel n'ayant pas réagi, on fait réagir, en second stade, le phosphore résiduel avec une quantité supplémentaire de solution d'hydroxyde alcalin et on recueille pour utilisation les produits de réaction gazeux séparément du produit de réaction obtenu en premier stade.
