Abstract
L'invention concerne une membrane et un procédé utilisables pour éliminer un constituant gazeux présent dans un gaz industrieL La membrane est caractérisée par une couche poreuse de matière hydrophile 2, dont les deux faces 1 et 3 sont couvertes d'une couche d'un mélange de 10 à 90 % en poids d'une substance hydrophobe et de 90 à 10 % en poids d'une substance hydrophile, les portions hydropiles des trois couches étant imprégnées d'un catalyseur qui favorise la conversion de l'anhydride carbonique en ions bicarbonate et la décomposition du bicarbonate en anhydride carbonique gazeux, la concentration du catalyseur étant comprise entre 0,1 M et 3 M, et d'une solution tampon 2 à 14 à base d'un métal alcalin. Le procédé consiste à faire circuler le gaz 4 au voisinage immédiat d'un gaz d'extraction 5 humidifié ayant une humidité relative de 0,4 à 0,95, le gaz 4 et le gaz d'extraction 5 étant séparés par la membrane. Application à l'élimination de CO2 de gaz destinés à des piles à combustibles alcalines.
