Abstract

The hay harvester has several finger wheels (3, 4) rotating on vertical axles and supported by land wheels. The finger wheels (3, 4) are arranged in groups on auxiliary frames which can be adjusted in various positions on a main frame, which is attached to the tractor. The main frame can be tilted in position on an axis parallel to the ground and crosswise to the direction of travel. The main gear mechanism (20) is fixed to a connection formed by a tow-bar or three point coupling, and has a front drive (19) and two side driven mechanisms (21, 22). A telescopic universal joint shaft (23) from each of the two side driven mechanisms (21, 22) is connected to an outer finger wheel (2, 5).
