Abstract

The solar energy water heater has a heat exchanger between the primary fluid circulated by pump through the panel and the water flowing into a first vessel, together with a second vessel containing an auxiliary heater. An electronic regulator connected to temperature detectors for primary fluid and water starts up the pump if the panel temperature is sufficient to counteract the temperature drop due to water being drawn off without the use of the auxiliary heater. The regulator is outside the first vessel, and comprises a number of contiguous or coaxial primary and secondary components in which the primary fluid and the water flow in opposite directions.
