Abstract
The wind driven generator has a fixed vertical shaft (1) mounted in a concrete base (3). A square section tube (2) mounted on bearings (4) carries two rotors mounted one above the other. Each rotor consists of four equally spaced arms (5) built up from aero-foil segments (6). The outer ends of the arms (5) are supported by bracing wires (7). All aero-foil segments (6) are identical and can be assembled to form arms (5) of any desired length. The shape and attitude of fixing is such that the rotors rotate in the same direction irrespective of the wind direction. The machine utilising the power is driven by a belt from the pulley (9).
