Abstract

The water/air-tight joint placed in the gap of a door or window between the fixed and opening frames, and giving good insulation against draughts, noise and humidity. The flanges (8, 9) of a fixing piece, which has an angle cross-section and is made of slightly pliable plastic, have several soft plastic air/water-tight lips attached to them during the manufacturing process. These lips face in the opposite direction to the draught and when the opening frame is closed, are compressed against the surfaces of the frame (10, 11) facing them, thus sealing the gap.
