Abstract

The draught excluder for use where roller shutters are used to cover an opening, consists of a flexible flap which is as long as the opening is wide, the flap being fixed underneath the lintel (4) whilst resting on the front face (15) of the shutter (1). It acts with an adjustable stop (27) in contact with the back face (16) of the shutter to reduce the gap between the lintel (4) and the fixed frame (6). Air is thus prevented from entering the opening closed by the shutter and heat loss reduced. The flap has a rigid support with holes for the passage of fixing screws or bolts.
