Abstract

The excluder consists of a metal or plastic fixing strip (2) with a slot (5) for attaching it to a roller shutter housing, and a flexible strip (2), e.g. of rubber, or row of bristles that extends across the gap between the housing and shutter. It can be fitted to existing shutters or new ones during manufacture, and as well as closing the gap it removes any dust or moisture from the outer surface of the shutter as it is being rolled up.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for preventing intrusion

in the trunks

  animal shutters or the addition of humidity and dust.

  In order to avoid friction between the curtain and the trunk, the manufacturers of shutters leave a small but sufficiently large slot for animals such as bats, mice and insects to enter. Their excrement or the debris they bring into it causes serious malfunctions during the raising and lowering of the shutter curtains and often the

  engine failure especially when the shutters are electric.

  The addition of water and dust also causes the same incidents.

  The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks.

  In fact, according to a first characteristic, it comprises a brush or a rubber band held by another plastic or metal band which will be screwed, riveted

  or even get stuck on the body of the trunk where the curtain goes up and down.

  The space left free between the trunk and the curtain is thus obstructed and no animal

can enter it.

  In addition, when the curtain rises, the brush or the rubber band will scrape this

  last and thus keep water and dust outside.

  According to particular embodiments: - The brush or the rubber band (or other material) is fixed to a support either by pressure, gluing or another industrial process in order to maintain itself during the raising or lowering of the curtain. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: Figures 0 and 1 show in section the position of the device (6) relative to the boot

and the curtain.

  Figures 2, 3, 4 and 5 show in section and variants of the device.

  Figures 6 and 7 show variants of the device seen from above or below.

  With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a rigid strip (1) on which is fixed all along another flexible strip (2) or fibers (3) in order to form a

brush or squeegee.

  In the embodiments according to FIGS. 2 and 4, the assembly (6) is positioned on the

  shutter box either by rivets or screws (4), bonding as shown in Figure 1.

  on which it will adapt given its shape.

  According to a variant not illustrated, this possibility can also be combined with screwing, riveting and bonding. By way of nonlimiting example, the device will be adapted to the width of the shutter box

rolling to protect.

  The device according to the invention can be used on new shutters like those already

put in place.

Claims (2)

  1) Device (6) to prevent intrusion into the shutters of animal rolling shutters or the addition of moisture and dust, characterized in that it comprises a brush (3) or a strip (2) mounted on a body (1) which will be fixed by screws (4) or embedded (5) on the trunk to be protected, during the reassembly of the shutter, the brush or the strip fixed on the trunk scraping and keeping outside dust and water harmful to the shutter mechanisms and, in the lowered position, the trunk remains inaccessible to the entry of all animals or other item.   2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that a projection will allow the   system to be fitted on the roller shutter box.
