Abstract

The bolt consists of a case intwo parts (1, 2) inside which pivots a rod with a sleeve (4) at each end perpendicular to the rod's own axis. A latch (5) is locked inside each sleeve (4) by a pin (6). The two latches are cylindrical, and each has one cone-shaped end (7). The rod also has a sleeve (8) on which a handle (9) is mounted, this handle being hinged to the sleeve. When the door is opened, the handle swings round parallel to the rod, thereby preventing any damage which could be caused by a protruding handle.
