Abstract

Resistance anode assembly, esp. for use in a metal tank, has a cylindrical anode with a flat top, contg. a free central core rod or wire, the end of the anode being pressed into the tubular part of a metal cap, the outside surface of the cap being designed so that it can be fixed in a hole in the tank; a flat disc resistor is located between the top of the anode and the inside bottom surface of the cap, electrical and mechanical contact being ensured by a spring fixed to the end of the core rod or wire; and an insulating bush is located between the tubular part of the cap and both the anode and the resistor so no short circuits can occur, the components being assembled by an interference fit.
