Abstract

The building system uses prefabricated elements. Lines of vertical columns are put in position, marking the outside walls of the buildings. Onto these columns, at the level of each storey of the building, are placed corbels, which have faces perpendicular and parallel to the axis of the column. Onto the corbels are laid the ends of facing beams and those of beams perpendicular to the plane of the facade called central beams. This forms the framework of the building. Prefabricated floor/ceiling elements are then placed between the beams, together with facing panels. Concrete does not have to be poured until several storeys are complete, instead of the conventional method of pouring it one storey at a time.
