Abstract

A container is made from plastics sheet folded over to form two equal sides (2) and heat welded down the edges (5). In the open bottom is inserted another piece of plastic sheet (3), folded (4) to an inverted vee shape, the parts being welded together along their edges (7). The top fold has curved fold lines (10) each side so that, when the container is filled, a curved top surface (12) is formed which rises to a peak (13) each end. After filling, a reinforcing strip (15) is fixed across the top. The bottom has a similar curved surface (6) and the peaked corners can be cut off to pour out the contents.
