Abstract

Halter neck brassiere comprises two cups, two shoulder straps connected at the nap, and two bakc portions of which the ends are connected to each other near the waist by hook means. Each shoulder strap and the associated back portion is formed from a single side portion of elastic material which is attached to the cup by its medial portion and which is L-shaped prior to attachment. Pref. the small arm of the L which forms the back portion extends in the direction of greatest elasticity of the material, and the outer edge of each side portion is rounded for stiching to the outer edge of the cup. The cupa may be cut from a sngle piece of elastic material identical to that of he side portions, with the larger dimension of the cups extending in the direction of lowest elasticity of the material.
