Abstract

837,468. Brassieres. LEADING LADY FOUNDATIONS Inc. March 5, 1958 [May 10, 1957], No. 7081/5S. Class 141 In a brassiere, each breast cup comprises upper and lower sections 10, 11 which overlap at the sides of the cup but are spaced apart at the central portion 12 and are covered by an outer member 24; the upper cup section is elastic in the direction of its length and the lower section is inelastic. The cup is supported by a looped tape 22 slidably engaged in a buckle 20 at the end of the shoulder strap and secured at its ends to the outer member 24 and upper cup section 10 respectively. The cups are carried by a body-encircling band 1 preferably elastic in the direction of its length.
