Abstract

595,743. Brassieres. BRYAN, M. T., and CALNAN, W. H. June 22, 1945, No. 15926. [Class 141] A brassiere designed to support the breasts without compression comprises a narrow belt a to the back of which shoulder straps b are connected. Each strap passes through a ring c and is adjusted by a buckle d. Below each ring c two straps e are arranged in inverted V- formation, each strap widening at the bottom where the outer ones are attached to the belt at a<3> and the inner ones overlap and are attached to the belt at a<2>. Adjustment buckles f are provided on each strap and a sling g is attached across each V and secured to the belt at a<4> so that the lower halves of the breasts are supported.
