Abstract

The tie is composed of a twisted part with an internal diameter greater than the diameter of the training wire. The wire projecting from each side of the twist is bent back at more than 135 deg. to meet or cross, the shoot being lodged in the crook of the bend. The bends can alternatively be at 45 deg. with the shoot lying in the angle. Both bends are produced in relation to the axis of the twist. These ties are intended to fasten the shoots to training wires stretched between posts. They are attached to the wires by means of the twist.
