Abstract

The system has a solar heating panel which supplies heat to a fluid in a coil (7). The hot fluid is fed to a heat store through a two way valve (11) which will divert some of the heat to the radiators (3) in the system. The surplus heat is taken to a storage unit through the heat exchanger (12). A boiler (24) is fitted to the installation as a supplementary source of energy. The heat pump heat exchanger coils (17) and (18) enable heat to be extracted from the store as required. The system is fitted with the required automatic and thermostatic control (25).
