Abstract

The modular system for building counters for bars etc., uses a series of regularly spaced tubular frames (1) joined by screws or bolts to longitudinal panels (6, 8). Each frame has an 'L' section with a symmetrical top cross arm (3) and stub legs (5) at each end of the lower arm (4). A panel of horizontal 'U' section links upper cross arms (3), its upper edges fixing to the cross arms and the lower panel (13) face resting on the edges of lower vertical panels (6) to form a horizontal top (11) with a compartment beneath for temporary storage of personal effects. The bottom of the assembly is covered by foot rests (10) and may be fitted with bar stool supports.
