Abstract

The animated doll has mechanically moved articulating arms, legs and head, has a torso housed motor imparting pendulum motion to the upper parts of the legs, arms and head. A drive shaft mounted eccentric disc drives an apertured extension of the upper part of one leg and a further upward extension of this leg moves the arms in the inverse sense via a spigot engaging a crank arm. An upward extension of an upper arm engages a neck cog-wheel to swivel the head. The motor is spring powered with an actuating cord and a uni-directional clutch, the spring being tensioned by a pull on the cord.
