Abstract

A cup (21) contains a spring (22) held in a concave depression (15) in the fork end (20) at one end of the wheel spindle (5) by a butterfly nut (20). The other side of the wheel hub (4), has a sleeve (10) with a similar cup shaped end (14) and spring held in a concave depression in the other front fork (1) and (3). This sleeve (10) has an extension (11) housing a block (8) with a spindle portion (5) abutting the main spindle, and the sleeve extension (11) carries a cup (17) with holes through if for an eccentric blade (91) of a locking handle (9). In the unlocked position, this handle is swung outwards, but the wheel hub and spindle will not drop out, as they are retained by the spring and cup arrangement.
