Abstract

The bicycle wheel hub has a quick action eccentric lock for rapid removal from the forks. It has a hollow spindle (8) provided with ball races (3, 3') for retaining the rotating outer housing (1), this has side plates (4, 5) for the spokes. A spacer is fitted each side, one (11) contacting the inner cage of one bearing (3'), the other (10) the end (15) of the hollow spindle. A rod (18) through this has a cap (19) at the end contacting the bearing, the other having a head inside a cover (20). A lever (21) in this head has an eccentric action, being operated to release the assembly from the forks.
