Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the locking operation easily and reliably while to reduce the number of the parts, by repeating the pressing of single push button thereby performing the locking and the releasing of a wheel.
CONSTITUTION: A fixing hole 6 is made in a frame 1 of a caster then a push button 7 is inserted slidably in said hole 6. While a stopper/rotor 9 is penetrated rotatably in parallel with an axle 3 through an inserted hole 8 made in the foot sections 7a, 7a on both sides at the lower side of the push button 7. The stopper 9 is prevented from drawing out of the push button 7 through a spring 10 fixed to the frame 1. The operating section 9a of the stopper 9 is provided with a recess 9a' and a projected section 9a" and rotated while guided by the operation of the push button 7 in a cam groove 14 made in the fixing hole 6. Through the rotation of said operating section 9a, the stopper 9e is engaged/disengaged with the stopper recess made in a wheel 2 thus to perform the locking or the releasing.
