Abstract

The stud (2) and socket (1) engage one another at door closure to reinforce the hinge against unlawful entry by forcing the door off its hinges. Annularly ribbed (6, 9) and pointed shafts (5, 8) have sockets (3) or studs (7) and their ends are driven in drillings made in opposed door edge and jamb faces. Ribs are of triangular section to prevent the studs and sockets from coming loose from the drillings.
