Abstract

The internal combustion engine comprises a first cylindrical cavity housing a coaxially rotating rotor which contains a coaxial cylindrical cavity housing a rotary piston. Connecting elements cooperating with the rotor are provided between the piston and engine body for rotation of the piston and rotor about the axis of the second cavity when axial movement of the piston occurs. A transverse partition in the second cavity cooperates with the piston to define at least one combustion chamber connected to the engine body. The rotor protrudes axially from the engine body, forming the engine shaft. There is a single sparking plug.
