Abstract
1367955 Rotary positive-displacement machines Z R PKZYBYLSKI 22 Oct 1971 [22 Oct 1970] 49259/71 Heading F1F In an I. C. engine rotors 2, 3 with co-operating pistons 8 and chambers 25 are coupled to one another and an output shaft 56 by gears 4, 5, 55, air is inducted through passages 16, 17, fuel is introduced by injectors 41, ignition is effected by glow or spark plugs 19 and exhaust gases are ejected by way of passages 17, 18, 54. Provision may be made to vary the compression ratio, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). Engines with differing numbers of rotors, pistons and chambers are illustrated schematically, Figs. 5 to 10 (not shown). Radial and axial seals may be provided on each rotor, Figs. 11 to 13 (not shown).
