Abstract

The draught control fitting for positioning on a chimney, as in the main patent, consists of three tubes (20-22) stepped one above the other, the smallest one at the bottom and the largest at the top, each tube having a conical portion (26-28) near its top, in turn supporting a smaller diameter portion (29-31). The larger diameter portion of each section is equal in size to the smaller diameter portion of the tube above, and air can pass through the annular gap between each tube and the tube above it, the securing bolts bridging these gaps. Inside the open top of the uppermost tube is suspended a baffle shaped (35) as a double cone. The effect of the baffle and the two annular spaces ensures an efficient draught even for light winds.
