Abstract

724,563. Lampshades; lamps. GULLBERG, B. J. G. March 9, 1953 [Sept. 2, 1952], No. 6436/53. Classes 75 (2) and 75 (3). A lampshade has a rigid wire framework comprising inner lower and upper rings 1, 2, and at least one outer ring of larger diameter, two such rings 3,4 being shown in Fig. 1, and a translucent tape 6 is wrapped round the rings as shown, to form an inner wall between the rings 1, 2, the tape portions of which lie edge to edge or overlap to provide an unbroken surface, and to form an outer wall between the rings 3, 4, the tape portions of which are spaced apart to form slot-shaped openings 7. A single outer wire ring may be used to provide an outer wall of either frusto-conical or double frusto-conical form. Vertical wire members joining the inner rings may be extended to form legs 8 for supporting the lamp.
