Another such ring, of greater diameter than the first, may also be mounted on electrode 6 between the first ring and screen 15, Fig. 2 (not shown). The angle between the wall of ring 7 and the tube axis is preferably 30 to 60 degrees. Further correction may be provided by a tubular electrode 3 having an inwardly projecting bead 9.
