Abstract

1307083 Multiple fuel burners BABCOCK & WILCOX Ltd 20 Feb 1970 [20 Feb 1969] 8354/70 Addition to 1175197 Heading F4T In a modification of the burner described in Specification No. 1,175,197, a duct 18 is provided within the first tube 1, and is connected to a source of gaseous fuel through a shut off valve 20, the fuel being discharged from the outlet end of the duct into an annular stream of air discharged from the space between the duct 18 and the tube 1; the space is fed with air by means 2, and may additionally be fed with pulverulent fuel by the means 2. Cooling tubes 17a are provided at the end of the duct 18, and are arranged so that they define radially extending slots 22.
