Abstract

A hot water circulation system has a main storage tank (1) from which water is pumped by a pump (3) to a heat exchanger (2) positioned above the tank. The heat exchanger heats up water which is circulated through pipes (4) under control of a thermostat (5), and at a predetermined temperature in the external circuit, the thermostat shuts down the pump so that the water in the heat exchanger passes downwards by gravity into the main tank underneath. The heat exchange takes place between primary and secondary liquids. The liquid circulation is preferably dependent on demand.
