Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the heat exchanging efficiency, the safety and the reliability of a heat exchanging method by contacting and circulating a temperature controlled liquid and another inert temperature controlling liquid having larger specific weight than that of the controlled liquid directly in a tank when controlling the temperature of an etchant or the like.
CONSTITUTION: Inert temperature controlling liquid 30 having larger specific weight than that of a temperature controlled liquid 11 is so filled in a tank 20 that pipes 21, 22 are submerged, and is circulated through a pump 5 and a heat exchanger 7. The liquid 11 is filled in a predetermounted amount on the liquid 30. Since the liquid 11 has smaller specific weight, it is isolated via a boundary surface B on the liquid 30. Since the liquid 30 flows in a direction of arrows, the liquid 11 contacting at the boundary surface B will also circulate and agitate in a direction of arrows and will heat exchange through the boundary surface B with the liquid 30. Thus, it can improve the heat exchanging efficiency, the safety and the reliability.
