Abstract

The sealing head has a thin cap pierced in order to open it. There are two separate seals between the head and the bottle neck, namely a joint and a welded seam. It is assembled on the bottle neck by fixing devices allowing tightening of the joint, although a passage is left for filling the bottle before the head is screwed right down. the fixing device can be complementary screw threads, filling taking place via a lengthwise groove formed in the male threaded portion. The latter can either be on the bottle neck or on the head. The head can be manufactured e.g. by extrusion or moulding, so that the grain of the vap runs at right angles to the head axis.
