Abstract
Turbine or compressor has adjustable nozzles or blades, the nozzles or blades working together with stops which allow a sudden change of position. The adjustment between the two pre-determined positions of either nozzles or blades is actuated by clutch rings which are connected to the nozzles of the turbines. The clutch ring is connected to a piston and driven by it with the piston receiving drive by air from the supply pressure of a compressor which forms part of the turbo-charger.
