Abstract
The gas turbine plant utilises the expansion energy of the blast furnace waste gas and functions even when the compressor is out of action. The admission pipe of the first gas turbine is connected to the blast furnace mouth. The combustion chamber is mounted close to the second gas turbine and is connected to the blast furnace mouth. The pressure pipes of the air compressor and the blast compressor are connected to each other by a pipe fitted with a non-return valve. The yield of the plant is 1.85 times that of conventional plants.
