704,936. Axial-flow compressors; gas turbine plant. ROLLS-ROYCE, Ltd. Oct. 16, 1950 [Oct. 28, 1949], No. 21832/52. Divided out of 704,849. Drawings to Specification. Classes 110 (1) and 110 (3) In a muiti-stage compressor having at least one row of adjustable stator blades, means are provided to be operative over part only of the range of rotational speeds of the compressor, for automatically and progressively varying the pitch of said blades in a manner corresponding to the rotational speed of the compressor. Specifications 652,095 and 704,849 are referred to. The drawings and description, which relate to a compressor supplying combustion air to a gas turbine, are identical with Figs. 1 and 2 of the drawings in the latter Specification and the description relating thereto.
